One incredible Tv
So, I bought this tv to replace my 54'' Panasonic. 3 years old roughly 2800 from Cruchfield.
I wanted to get a really good affordable LED.

I got a great price fromAmazon on this one and pulled the trigger.
This Tv is not for everyone. You feel like you are losing horizontal
picture. Truth is your not.
This set takes a little getting use to. Its by far the most
beautiful/stylish set ive seen to date.

The picture itself is gorgeous. Crisp, detailed and it pops.
Where this set excels is watching blu ray movies.

Take a good look at this set if your in the market.

Decent TV for ultimate movie watcher!
Well it appears I am the first person to write a review on this product the XVT 58in Cinema wide TV by Vizio. Out of the box the TV worked well and setup didn't take too long. I am a very picky person when it comes to my TV's and have gone through a lot of products. I got this TV because I love movies and wanted something new and first of its kind. This fit that bill movies looked good on the TV. Watching regular cable with the stretch picture is a little strange faces are weird shaped and all. You can turn off that feature and go to a normal view anytime so that makes that irrelevant. The speakers seemed to work well but I mainly run my surround sound and disable TV speakers.

The TV was quite heavy so was quite difficult to maneuver by myself. I only used the 3d on a ps3 game COD and it seemed to work well. I don't own any other 3d products yet but when Avengers comes out that will change. I did notice a little image correction at times when scenes in movies or...
Great 2D, killer 3D
For me this TV size is a dream come true. For past two years I have owned a Sony HX800 LED LCD with 3D. The Sony 3D has always been marginal in 3D with the overblown brightness revealing the cloudiness that the local dimmed LED function usually hides. This makes anamorphic 3D films have bright bars or corners which are distracting. The set is also unable to zoom in on this content (I hate black bars so I usually zoom in on all films). The crosstalk has always made 3D kind of lame with video games impossible to stomach. Finally, the glasses are uncofortable and are battery hungry - we have 6 pairs and one or more always need new batteries even when we only watch a couple of hours a month of 3D movies. Other than this the Sony is a great TV in regular 2D content.

The Vizio picture quality in 2D is just as good as the Sony, but 16:9 content is smaller. I wish Vizio had a geometry correct zoom for 16:9 in order to get a bigger feel but its not such a big deal to me since I care...

Amazing Television!!!!!
I've owned this tv now for just under a month, and all I can say is wow. I previously owned a Panasonic 50" Viera Plasma before this, and was worried about the motion. I've been watching the Stanley Cup Finals now for last week, and the only complaint I have is the puck is slightly blurry when it's in fast motion, other than that, awesome picture. The picture is crystal clear, and when watching a good quality HD channel or Blu-Ray, the picture is crystal clear with zero issues. I initially copied the calibration settings of CNET after I googled them, but in the end I used the Disney World of Wonder Blu-Ray disc to calibrate, and got the picture dead on. I also have to give props to Sharp themselves. The day I got the tv home and connected, there was a small group of bright pixels on lower left of screen. I contacted Sharp and sent them some pictures, and they scheduled a replacement within 5 days, great customer service. If you want a big screen tv, this television is by far...

If you really want to experience HD, buy this TV!!!
This TV really let my husband and I experience high definition like never before. Everything was clearer and crisper. The colors were fantastic. We would definitely purchase this TV again!!!
Love this
Replaced an 8 year old hitachi LED Rear Projection 60". WOW! Love the color, the options, the size, the weight. even the price was not too bad at $1999 at Costco. I debated about the next model up, with 3D -- not because of the 3D but becUse it was 240 Hz. It's hard for me to imagine it could be better than this. The Smart TV wireless is wonderful and Netflix streams ok over my crappy dsl connection. The speakers are good...I don't have surround sound connected. Set up was a piece of cake. Hardest part was hauling it home in the back of my shortbed pickup.of.

Nice Product
Researched this Television for a few weeks before taking the plunge. The TV was very easy for my wife and I to install with the low profile bracket. The Picture is sooooo sharp and the sound is soooo crisp. I am very happy with my choice and wish I would have bought one sooner. I am happy with the purchase and highly recommend it.

Did not like the picture, but price was great.
I really wanted a large tv for years, but the prices have always been too high for me. Recently I saw this Vizio at Walmart, and the price seemed incredibly low, considering how huge it is. This Vizio is loaded with features, making the price even more impressive. It is difficult to compare picture quality at Walmart, because they have such a poor quality video feed. My other tv is a Vizio, and I love it, so I took a chance and ordered this one from Amazon.

As soon as I set up the tv, my wife and I were disappointed with the picture quality. The colors look just ok from the front. It is nowhere nearly as nice as most other new tv sets I have seen. I played with the color settings quite a bit, but it did not help. To make matters worse, if you move off to the side, the colors become very muted. We often watch tv from our kitchen, which places us at an angle to the tv. The washed out colors on the screen really bothered me.

ordered this tv from amazon. it was on backorder. it finally came in after 2 weeks....it was worth the wait.i saw it in wallmart for more money.when i saw the picture in wall mart.i was sold.this tv hooked to verizon fios is the best picture i ever seen yet.i have lgs and sharp tvs...this thing does better then them...its a new model with tons of improvements.its 100 percent...sound is very impresive also. i made a few adjustments on the picture after hooking it up.and wow.....if you want a 65 inch 3d tv for about 1000.00 dollars then the others then dont hesitate to buy this tv.once the tv came in stock amazon had it at my door in 2 days.the unit is packed very well from vizio...it is a very heavy item...it is very thin panel as well...3d works 100 percent . the apps are also very good.the remote has a keyboard on the other side for the web.i have absolutley no complaints about this tv...it is 100 percent tv for the money.
